Balm Mod

How to Organize Balm Mod Downloads

Separate installed releases, candidate downloads and backups to avoid duplicate libraries. Learn more about Balm Mod.

Use separate storage locations

Keep browser downloads outside the active mods folder. That download collection may include source archives, older releases and files for different loaders. Create clearly named locations for candidate files and instance backups. The live instance should contain only the mod files intended to load, while alternative versions remain available outside it for reference or rollback.

Keep original filenames

Preserve the published filename when practical and record which game version and loader it targets. Avoid renaming a source archive to make it look like a mod JAR. If your operating system hides file extensions, enable their display before checking an unfamiliar download. A project name or logo is not enough to distinguish two releases intended for different environments.

Review before launch

Compare the intended file list with the active instance after copying a new release. If you replaced Balm, move the superseded copy out rather than leaving both active. Maintain a short note about why you chose the replacement and which mod requires it. This reduces confusion when multiple profiles use similar names or another person helps maintain your pack.
